Bio

I represent a wide variety of clients providing services to individuals and business entities in the fields of business entity selection and organization, commercial litigation, construction law, foreclosure, commercial and residential real estate transactions, trust and estate planning and administration, probate matters, and personal injury litigation.

After graduating from law school, I worked as an associate at Ryan Smith & Carbine, Ltd., until joining the firm of Deppman & Foley, P.C., in 1995. I was appointed partner in 2000. I am currently co-chair of the Real Estate Law Section for the Vermont Bar Association. I also currently serves as President of the Town Hall Theater Board of Directors, and am active on the following boards: Porter Auxiliary Board and Addison County Fair and Field Days, Inc. I am Chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Middlebury Lions Club and a Lions Club Melvin Jones Fellow (and past President). I was also a Governor Douglas appointee to the Governor's Council for Physical Fitness and Sports.

I live in Cornwall with my wife, Lesley (also an attorney at Deppman & Foley, PC), and three children. When not practicing law or volunteering, I like to spend time with my family, or in my yard, creating a view!
